Using the [NOT-ENGLISH] footnote for English audios

The [NOT-ENGLISH] footnote is what you should use for English transcripts that have two or more consecutive non-English words.

You must select it each time the speaker speaks words in another language and determine the exact second that is not in English. If you hear another language, such as Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese or Japanese, it should not be transcribed. However, once you hear English, it has to be 100% transcribed, no matter what.

For example:

  • [00:00:00] He bought a new car from Mitsubishi and it's very luxurious.

How to correctly use the [NOT-ENGLISH] footnote:

  • [00:00:00] Good evening everyone! [NOT-ENGLISH 00:00:00].
