How are my "transcription" tasks corrected?

1. We only give you feedback on word errors.

Once your task has been submitted and corrected, you will notice that you have some changes in your transcription, these will be words that have been added (Insertion) or deleted (Deletion) to your transcription, you will be able to report if this is a good or bad correction.

  • In your corrections, the tags are shown as: [tag ######]

It means that you won't receive corrections in the timing for every tag, be it tags for non-verbal sounds, the time tag, the Inaudible tag or foreign.

For example, if you submitted a task with the following transcript:

[00:00:00] [ah 00:00:00] We need to send a note to the manager.

In your correction you will see:

[######] [ah ######] we need to send a note to the manager.

It will affect your accuracy if you have not placed a tag correctly. For example: Not placing the tag foreign when the whole audio is foreign. What you will not be corrected for is the time you placed it.

2.  All are shown in lower case for simplicity.

  • In your corrections, the words are shown in lowercase.

For example, if you submitted a task with the following transcript:

[00:00:00] Yes, of course. Maybe it will be tomorrow.

In your correction you will see:

[######] yes of course maybe it will be tomorrow.

3. Punctuation marks will not appear.

  • The task you submitted will not show punctuation marks such as periods, commas or question marks.

For example, if you submitted a task with the following transcript:

[00:00:00] If you have any problems, we can guide you.

In your correction you will see:

[######] if you have any problems we can guide you.

We know that the use of the comma, dot, knowing when a word is written in initial capital letter or the exact time in which a tag should be placed, that knowledge may vary from person to person, and it is not a fair correction, that is why we will not correct you all these elements mentioned.

Please note that when transcribing, you must make correct use of capitalization, punctuation marks and time stamps according to the instructions.

We invite you to read the transcription guide for instructions, click here.
